I Requested An Appointment through Vagaro... Now What?

Please allow 1-12 business hours for us to respond to the request. If you haven't received an email or text confirmation within 24 business hours, please email us directly at alovasalon@gmail.com. There may have been an issue with the request being received. To help the process go a little smoother, please make sure you have also filled out one of the new guest forms below as well.

I'm Getting Color Services Done.

What Is The Best Way To Prepare My Hair For The Best Results?

Clean hair is always best. For the best coverage and long lasting results, please arrive with hair that has been washed within 24 hours of your appointment. We know the old rule was to color dirty hair, but hair color has come a long way since the days it used to contain lye. That old rule was meant to ease the discomfort from really harsh chemicals. Clean hair is always best. For some, this actually helps to reduce sensitivity to color.

Also, please do not use any coconut oil, or products containing coconut oil one week prior to your appointment. 

What Should I Expect On The Day Of My Services?

Please plan to arrive 5-10 mins before your scheduled appointment in order to allow time for common Bay Area traffic issues. 

 Please note we are following all the Santa Clara County Covid-19 guidelines. Masks are required the entire time you are within the building. We are not able to extend any mask exemptions due to the current health crisis.  We are a privately owned business and all mask exemptions will be lawfully denied regardless of gender, race, or age. We don't like wearing them either, but we are prioritizing the health of ourselves, our family, and our community.

 

 If you have scheduled a haircut, get ready to sit back and relax with an invigorating scalp shampoo and massage followed by your customized haircut. We  will finish up your cut with a blow dry & style. Haircut appointments will take approximately 30-75 minutes depending on length & desired finish.

 

Coloring appointments can expect to take between 60 minutes for a quick touch up, to 3 hours for more elaborate results. Color corrections may take longer.

 

While you're here, enjoy the peace and quiet of our calm salon environment. Feel free to use our wifi to get some work done, but we do ask that you keep cell phone conversations to a minimum out of respect for our other salon guests. 

Can My Friend or Child Come too?

Current guidelines prohibit any guests or children not receiving services. We ask that any additional guests, children and/or caretakes remain outside of the building to limit exposure risks within the salon.

 

We ask that you please make alternate childcare arrangements for them due to safety concerns. We do not suggest leaving your child under the age of 16 in the car outside without alternate adult supervision.

I'd Love To Send My Friend To You. Do You Have A Referral Program?

We sure do. The best compliment a guest can give us, is the referral of their friends or family. Each of our stylists has their own specific referral program. Please make sure you tell your friend to let us know you sent them.
